Man Dressed in Drag Breaks Into Home and Steals Ashes

I mean, maybe the crook thought the urn said “asses” instead of ashes?

According to UPI, a man in Washington dressed up as a woman, broke into a man’s house and stole his father’s ashes. Even crazier than that, a surveillance camera in the victim’s room captured this clown walking in.

William Crockett says the thief also made off with a tablet computer, but his primary concern is getting back the ashes.

“Who takes somebody’s ashes? Who?” Crockett told a local TV station.

Apparently, the answer is a guy who likes to dress up in women’s clothing.

Crockett, a descendant of American legend Davy Crockett, said he has a pretty good idea of who the burglar is and used the media to ask him to return the ashes.

“If I’m in the house and I see you walking up, that’s OK. Drop it off – I’ll stay inside – and leave.”

We’d like to think that if Davy Crockett was alive today, he would have handled things a little differently. I mean, killing a bear at the age of three is pretty much the exact opposite of allowing a man dressed in drag to steal your father’s ashes and then whining to the news about it instead of going over to the suspected thief’s house and taking them back. But we digress.
