Light bulbs. They’re all the rage in horror movies this month. First there was that squirm-inducing scene from Oculus and now we have a shocking demise in Stage Fright, the new musical slasher from director Jerome Sable and composer Eli Batalion (Beaver Dam). Stage Fright co-stars Minnie Driver, Meat Loaf and a gaggle of singing and dancing students at a performing arts camp who are beset by a costumed maniac who, in this CraveOnline Exclusive scene, sees lights, and declares action.
Stage Fright is now available on On Demand and iTunes, and hits theaters on May 9, 2014.
Starry-eyed teenager Camilla Swanson wants to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a Broadway diva, but she’s stuck working in the kitchen of a snobby performing arts camp. Determined to change her destiny, she sneaks in to audition for the summer showcase and lands a lead role in the play, but just as rehearsals begin, blood starts to spill, and Camilla soon finds herself terrified by the horror of musical theatre.
