The first teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens just hit the internet, after early announcements that it would premiere in just a handful of theaters across the country. The 90-second teaser is our first look at actual footage from the latest Star Wars movie from director J.J. Abrams, starring Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Anderson, Christina Chong and Miltos Yerolemou.

Most of whom we don’t actually get to SEE in this first teaser, which sets a spooky mood, promises the return of the Light and Dark Sides of The Force, shows us a little X-Wing action with Oscar Isaac at the throttle, gives us our first look at John Boyega in Stormtrooper armor, introduces us to Daisy Ridley, gives the world new varieties of lightsabers and droids, and – finally – gives us some new shots of the Millennium Falcon in action.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in theaters on December 18, 2015. So be patient, padawans. The Force will be with you… in about a year.
