We just keep tap-dancing ever closer to that inevitable Justice League movie, don’t we?
It’s nearly impossible not to come to that conclusion after Thursday’s story in Variety — repurposed by Crave film site Cinema Blend — that director Zack Snyder has tabbed young stage actor Ray Fisher for the role of Victor Stone, aka Cyborg in Snyder’s upcoming Batman vs. Superman.
Variety states the part is a small one, but with Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) already slated to appear in the historic crossover flick, it’s hard to imagine the inclusion of Cyborg doesn’t herald the seeds of a “New 52” continuity version of the League in our cinematic futures.
Sorry, Teen Titans and Martian Manhunter fans — that’s just the way it’s gotta be, apparently…
And with four down already, can we also expect to see cameos in the movie from the three remaining JL founding members Green Lantern, Flash and Aquaman?
Production is already underway on Batman vs. Superman as it chugs along its May 6, 2016 collision course with Marvel’s Captain America 3. And nobody’s blinking yet…
