Selena Gomez opted for an elegant ensemble to attend the 2024 The Hollywood Reporter’s Annual Women in Entertainment Gala. Styled by Erin Walsh, the 32-year-old wore Self-Portrait’s Black Chenille Knit Off Shoulder Midi Dress. The black piece is elevated with white folded edges that also feature on the long sleeves’ cuffs. The dress is further adorned with gold buttons on the jacket-like bodice. Meanwhile, the semi-flowy skirt enhanced Gomez’s frame.

The actor completed the look with black Manolo Blahnik shoes and Chopard jewelry. Gomez opted for a simple glam and wore her chic short hair down for the occasion. During a red carpet interview with Extra, the singer also gushed about the”comfy” piece she was dressed in. Gomez said, “It’s like a cheating kind of dress, gives you the space,” as she highlighted the beautiful dress’ tailoring.

During the interview at The Hollywood Reporter’s Annual Women in Entertainment Gala, Selena Gomez also reflected on representation, which means “everything” to her. She recalled that while growing up, she did not see a lot of faces like hers on screens. Gomez shared, “I remember being little thinking, ‘Oh I should be blonde and I should have blue eyes’ and you know that’s always been something in the back of my mind.” Gomez added, “Then I realized that I had the ability to use my platform for people who needed the voices and that’s what it all became really rewarding. So I’m proud to be a Gomez and I’m proud to be who I am.”
