Kit Harington is so, so sorry, Game of Thrones fans! For months, Harington has had to lie about Jon Snow’s status on the show. Everyone knew that Jon Snow was gonna come back to life, but Harington tried to keep the suspense alive by denying it for almost a year.

Note that the small text at the bottom says “they even kept the secret from President Obama!,” since it’s well known that the President is one of the few people who still gets advance copies of every Game of Thrones episode ahead of time.
EW hasn’t posted the cover feature with Harington yet, but the cliffhanger was known to readers of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels ever since A Dance With Dragons was published in 2011.
