When it’s on, The Venture Bros. is absolutely one of the most hilarious shows on TV. But the wait between seasons is agonizingly long. The fifth season of The Venture Bros. ended in 2013, and it’s felt like an eternity! Even the one-hour Venture Bros. special from last year could only tide us over for so long.
But at the end of this month, The Venture Bros. is back with eight new episodes. Following the death of J.J. Venture, Rusty Venture and his children are rich for the very first time in their lives! The Venture family is moving to New York to take over J.J.’s company, and even Brock Samson is back in the fold!
However, Adult Swim’s new trailer for The Venture Bros. season 6 reveals that the move to New York has created a new set of problems for the Venture clan: superheroes and supervillains. In fact, the show seems to gleefully mock some of Marvel and DC’s most iconic characters by turning them into what appears to be a crossdressing mashup of the Avengers and the Justice League!

And of course, it just wouldn’t be The Venture Bros. if the hapless Monarch wasn’t planning on continuing his vendetta against Rusty. Meanwhile, Dr. Mrs. The Monarch appears to be in an awkward position as she tries to get support for the new Guild of Calamitous Intent.
The Venture Bros. season 6 begins at 11:59pm, Sunday, January 31 on Adult Swim.
