Report: Nintendo NX Will Be a Console/Handheld Hybrid, Will Support 4K Streaming

A fresh batch of reliable information regarding the upcoming Nintendo NX console has been revealed, with a survey from Nintendo clients GFK seemingly detailing a number of the system’s key features.

According to the survey, initially spotted by Did You Know Gaming/Nintendo Life contributor Liam Robertson, the Nintendo NX will see gameplay flowing between the Nintendo NX console and a Nintendo NX handheld device, hinting that it could be the home console/handheld hybrid that has previously been speculated.

The information also says that the system will be able to support 4K/60FPS video streaming, though gameplay graphics will run at 900p/60fps. However, considering that the Wii U managed to achieved a native resolution of 1080p in its life cycle, it’s likely that the NX would be able to reach that resolution, too.

The survey also points towards an achievements system being implemented in the new console, something Nintendo fans have frequently requested.
