All the way back in 2011, Larry David’s fictional alter ego skipped the country just to get out of some social obligations…and that was the end of Curb Your Enthusiasm…until now! After an extended hiatus, the series is getting a new season on HBO. And now, we know when we can expect the next batch of Larry David moments.
HBO has released a teaser video for the ninth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm which casts David as a very Julius Caesar-like figure. And once David finishes getting his Roman on, the date for the new season is finally revealed.

When the renewal was announced last year, David said that “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned.’” That seems to have been taken to heart by HBO in this promotional campaign. HBO Programming President Casey Bloys had a more enthusiastic take: “We’re thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of Curb and can’t wait to see what he has planned.”
Despite his starring role on ABC’s The Goldbergs, Jeff Garlin will be back alongside David for the new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Also confirmed to return are Susie Essman and JB Smoove, with guest stars and surprise appearances to be revealed at a later time. The ninth season will run for ten episodes, beginning on Sunday, October 1 on HBO.
