Ben Reilly was dead…and he should have stayed that way!
During the events of The Clone Conspiracy, Peter Parker’s clone, Ben Reilly, was revealed to be alive and well as the new Jackyl. Ben claimed that he was trying to conquer death and give everyone their loved ones back. But as Spider-Man soon found, Ben wasn’t exactly the gentle soul that he used to be. There’s more madness in this Ben than he’d probably like to admit. He may have the heart of a hero, but Ben also has the mind of a villain…and a pretty messed up face after that clone degeneration disease was finished with him.
In the first issue of the new Scarlet Spider series, Ben decided that it would be a good idea to hit up Cassandra Mercury, one of the clients he had worked with at New U. But considering that Ben’s treatment was to replace her daughter with a clone, Cassandra’s not looking to give him anything that isn’t a few bullets to her head. In CraveOnline’s exclusive preview from Scarlet Spider # 2, we witness the outcome of that confrontation. Meanwhile, Ben’s clone brother, Kaine, comes up with a way to get answers from Ben’s last ally in San Francisco…
