AMC really wants fans to keep guessing who was killed off in the sixth season finale of The Walking Dead. That’s one of the main reasons that footage from the new season has been so scarce. As soon as we see Maggie, Daryl, Glenn, etc…then we’ll know that they weren’t the first victims of Negan and his barbwire bat. But that doesn’t mean that they can’t die later!
The one man we know for sure will survive is Negan himself. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a series regular this season, and he’s going to make you forget about the Governor. Negan’s brand of crazy isn’t quite as grotesque as the Governor’s, but he’s still quite mad…and oddly very happy about his lot in life. If he’s anything like his comic book incarnation, then Negan will almost always have a smile on his face even as he’s doing the most horrific things.
AMC has released a new teaser for the upcoming season that throws the spotlight on Negan. For all intents and purposes, this is his world now!

Can anyone really stay mad at someone who is so relentlessly upbeat? Oh yes…because you’ve only gotten a small taste of what Negan can and will do. Beating one of our fan-favorite characters to death is only the beginning. And it’s only going to get more brutal on the road to All-Out War.
The Walking Dead season 7 will premiere on Sunday, October 23.
