Math is hard, like really, really hard. (Unless you live in Taiwan, we guess?) And for those of us who find very little joy in calculating anything that can’t be solved with 10 fingers, any tool that helps you do the arithmetic grunt job is one worth spending a few bucks on. This VH-80: The World’s First Bilateral Laser Distance Measurer now takes the guesswork out of measuring surfaces by hand and gives you an instant read using lasers and other technological advances us pea brains are too tired to understand.
Alright, here’s the lowdown on the VH-80: The World’s First Bilateral Laser Distance Measurer. Obviously not your average tape measure, this little fella measures distance bilaterally, meaning that you can measure a wall, piece of furniture, or any other surface by standing anywhere in its path. How lazy, ahem, convenient is that? The VH-80 essentially makes it easy to spend less time on housework and more time doing things you really enjoy.
But how? How does one little tool measure just about anything while you do absolutely nothing? VH-80 uses two laser diodes, which use three measurements taken with each action: one to the left, one to the right, and one combined total. Beyond that, it also can calculate the area of a room, volume of a space, and can give you a continuous measurement in real time using a set time interval. The measurer will store up to nine measurements with its internal memory, just in case you need to circle back.
Need any more proof that this baby can be your go-to for all house projects big and small? Just ask the 3,448 backers over at Kickstarter who raised $583,286 to make sure you see how this handy dandy tool measures up (See what we did there?).
