Warren Worthington III is dead…isn’t he? The mutant hero known as Angel had apparently perished during “The Dark Angel Saga,” but his body lived on with a new personality. However, all bets are off post-Secret Wars!
More recently, Angel seemingly reverted back to his Apocalypse induced Archangel state without a mind of his own. When Psylocke and Magneto went to investigate, they discovered a wingless Warren Worthington spouting the gospel of “purification through mutilation.” But it was all a plot by Genocide, the heir to Apocalypse, and now Magneto and Psylocke have been captured!
CraveOnline has an exclusive preview from Cullen Bunn and artist Ken Lashley’s Uncanny X-Men # 8, which continues the Apocalypse Wars storyline as Psylocke attempts to escape. Unfortunately for Psylocke, her teammates have problems of their own to deal with in the Morlock tunnels!

Here’s Marvel’s description of Uncanny X-Men # 8:
“Fearing their teammate Archangel has once more fallen under the sway of the villainous Apocalypse, Psylocke and Magneto have embarked on a mission to save his life. But little did Psylocke suspect that the mission would bring her face-to-face with her former flame, Fantomex! (And believe me, things did NOT end on good terms!) Meanwhile, Sabretooth and M make a horrifying discovery in the Morlock tunnels beneath New York City. A ghost from M’s past has resurfaced…and she’s determined to make this run-in their last.”
Uncanny X-Men # 8 will be released on Wednesday, June 8.
