The No Man’s Sky UK release date has been moved forward, with it now set to launch in the region on the same date that it will release in the rest of Europe.
The game’s UK release date has been changed to August 10th as a result of fan feedback, with many PS4 and PC owners complaining that considering developer Hello Games are based in Guildford, England, it was a curious decision to allow the rest of Europe to get their hands on the game first.
Now the change in release date has been officially confirmed by the PlayStation UK Twitter account, which wrote: “Thank you for your feedback, we’ve been working with retailers and No Man’s Sky will now launch on Aug 10th, the same as other EU countries.”
No Man’s Sky‘s release date was recently pushed back from June into August, a decision which had personal ramifications for Hello Games’ managing director, who said that he had received death threats as a result of the change:
I have received loads of death threats this week, but don’t worry, Hello Games now looks like the house from Home Alone #pillowfort

This was then followed by Kotaku journalist Jason Schreier, who had reported upon the news of the delay before it had been officially confirmed, posting a screenshot of a threat he had received as a result of his report:

With the game having attracted such an alarming number of intense individuals supporting it, its release day can’t come soon enough. Thankfully the UK can now just as soon as everyone else.
