Nothing says democracy in the USA like the growing trend of celebrities plucking themselves from other walks to live to become politicians.
Think Arnold Schwarzenegger and yeah I guess Donald Trump just to name a couple, and potentially, we’ll have to add Kanye West to the list.
Now, in an interview with GQ, Dwayne Johnson has indicated that has thought about, and may still yet, pursue a career in politics. The Rock wasn’t giving away any specifics, but said “I’ll be honest, I haven’t ruled politics out. I’m not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure. I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring.”
He went on to say that should he pursue any political role in the future, it would be in an effort to help others, and perhaps in an indication of how much influence America believes it has – he could change the world. “It would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale,” he said. “But there are a lot of other things I want to do first.”
And if he became the POTUS? There could surely only be one choice for vice-president…
