Just a few years ago, the Guardians of the Galaxy’s Peter Quill swept Kitty Pryde (of the X-Men) off her feet and even convinced her to marry him! It was so serious that she actually left the Earth to live with Star-Lord in the outer reaches of the Marvel Universe!
But then Secret Wars came and went. Eight months later, Kitty had become Star-Lady and she was splitsville with Peter! Nobody knows how or why the galaxy’s cutest couple broke up, but we may be about to find out!
In CraveOnline’s exclusive preview from Star-Lord # 7, Peter and Kitty find themselves as the prisoners of The Collector, an elder of the Universe who has taken a really unhealthy interest in their relationship. The Collector is also really taking the whole “outer space Liberace” thing a little bit too far, thanks to some MCU synergy. Or maybe The Collector just wants to be a talk show host. Either way, he’s not letting Peter and Kitty go until he gets the answers that he wants!
Here’s Mavel’s description of Star-Lord # 7:
“STAR-LORD VS. STAR-LADY! Turns out working with your ex might not go super smooth. Who knew? Will Peter and Kitty be able to make it out of this mission alive? Who is more dangerous, their enemy…or each other?”
Writer Sam Humphries and artist Javier Garron continue their story in Star-Lord # 7, which has a kick ass cover by Mike Hawthorne! Star-Lord # 7 will be in comic book stories on Wednesday, May 18.
