What’s the only TV show currently on the air that’s cool enough to have a David Bowie penned theme song? Why, The Last Panthers, of course! The six-part series debuted in Europe late last year, and now American viewers can catch the series on SundanceTV as it heads into its final two episodes.
The Last Panthers began with a daring diamond heist, which gradually escalated in scale. Naomi Franckom (Samantha Morton) has been tasked to find the missing diamonds no matter what she has to do. All the while, her boss, Tom Kendle (John Hurt) has pushed Naomi to extremes.
In tonight’s penultimate episode, viewers will learn about the shared history of Naomi and Tom. And in CraveOnline’s exclusive video, you’ll see how Tom and Naomi met over 20 years ago as he brings her a case that appears to have implications for the present day storyline.
Here’s the official description of the next episode of The Last Panthers. The name of the episode is “Angel of Death”:
“In 1995, as war-torn Bosnia breathes in the uncertain safety of a delicate cease-fire, a significant link between Naomi and Milan is revealed.”
The Last Panthers was created by Jack Throne and it was inspired by true crime stories about the Balkan jewel thieves who called themselves the Pink Panthers. The cast is headlined by Hurt and Morton, who appear alongside Tahar Rahim, Igor Bencina, Corinne Masiero, and Goran Bogdan. You can catch The Last Panthers episode 5 tonight on SundanceTV at 10pm EST and PST.
