There are occasionally lighthearted moments on HBO’s Game of Thrones, but no one could ever mistake the series for a comedy. Because of that, the performers don’t often get a chance to show off the sillier sides of their personalities.
Entertainment Weekly recently allowed several of Game of Thrones‘ leading actresses to embrace humor as they were invited to come up with their own lyrics for the classic Game of Thrones theme by Ramin Djawadi. Personally, I thought Maisie Williams had the best take: “Death and Boobies” repeated throughout the entire song. Gwendoline Christie didn’t really have lyrics in mind, so she did what she called an “interpretive dance.”

Emilia Clarke tried her hand at a more hip-hop version of the theme that’s all about the dragons while Natalie Dormer offered the theory that it would be possible to create lyrics by joining together the names of the major characters on the show. However, it was Sophie Turner who tried to put that theory in action…which only lasted a few seconds before she lost track of the names.
All in all, it’s just a fun bit of fluff from EW. Game of Thrones season 6 will continue this Sunday, on HBO.
