A man made the sweetest sweatiest wedding proposal ever on Sunday, popping the question to his bride-to-be after crossing the finish line at the London Marathon 2016.
The couple had their special moment photographed by Ashley Fryer, after they had both completed their respective run of the marathon. After Ashley sent out a tweet asking if anyone could identify the two lovebirds, they were eventually named as Adam Ruddick and Rachel Newell. The photos Adam’s proposal, which you can see below, gained over 7,000 likes on Twitter.

Speaking to the BBC about her photos, Ashley said: “I was just in the right place at the right time! It was a beautiful thing to witness. I’m just glad I got my phone out in time. The fact that we managed to track them down within a couple of hours is a testament to the magic of Twitter.”
She added: “Huge congratulations Adam and Rachel!”
Ashley has asked those sharing her photos to donate to Breast Cancer Now, the charity Adam and Rachel were representing in the marathon.
