Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now legally available to download in the UK, so if you decided not to Rebel and watch it early by way of an illegal copy leaked onto the Internet, then now’s your chance to watch the sci-fi blockbuster outside of the cinema.
The film can now be bought as a digital download on iTunes (£13.99), Google Play (£9.99) and Amazon (£13.99), with Apple and Amazon justifying the extra £4 they’ve slapped onto their respective price tags by adding a few deleted scenes at the end of the movie. With the Blu-ray and DVD releases of the film available next week on April 18th, for those who simply can’t wait to get their hands on a physical copy of it, this is the next best option.
This marks the latest piece of good news for Star Wars fans in the UK, after it was revealed last week that shooting for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story had seemingly taken place in London’s Canary Wharf tube station. While this information hasn’t been confirmed by the upcoming film’s creators, the evidence has been deemed convincing enough to suggest that, yes, Stormtroopers have really stepped foot on ground typically reserved for tired Londoners making their early morning commutes to work.
If you’d rather hold off on the digital download and wait until the physical editions are released next week, you can check out our Rapid Review of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-ray right here.
