Marvel Comics has the book for all of you classic X-Men fans: the continuation of X-Men ’92 by writers Chris Sims and Chad Bowers, with Alti Firmansyah as the artist. While X-Men ’92 is inspired by the classic X-Men animated series from the ’90s, it basically runs in its own direction with the characters and their iconic era.
In the first issue of the new X-Men ’92 series, Wolverine’s old merc buddy, Maverick popped up in Westchester to pass along a dire warning about Alpha Red, a Soviet-era monster who has been unleashed with an eye towards attacking the X-Men. Along the way, the X-Men had to take on the Russian superheroes, the People’s Protectorate!
For CraveOnline’s exclusive preview of X-Men ’92 # 2, former X-Force members Bishop and Psylocke nearly come to blows with their teammates over Maverick. But they may already be too late, as Jubilee has apparently become the first victim of Alpha Red!
