Hosted by eight-time Juno Award winner Jann Arden and The Amazing Race Canada host Jon Montgomery, The 2016 JUNO Awards airs live from Calgary.
Some of the scheduled performers include Coleman Hell, Dear Rouge, Scott Helman, Shawn Mendes, Shawn Hook, Whitehorse, Alessia Cara, Bryan Adams, and Dean Brody.
Arcade Fire will also be honoured and will receive this year’s Allan Waters Humanitarian Award. Over the course of their careers, Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, Will Butler, Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury and Jeremy Gara of Arcade Fire have used their popularity and critical acclaim to help those in need, particularly the people of Haiti. The six-piece indie rock band, led by the husband-wife duo of Win Butler and Régine Chassagne, has built an incredibly loyal fan base and, since 2001, they’re earned eight JUNO Awards, two BRITs and one Grammy.
The 2016 Juno Awards will take place at Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome and will air on CTV and CTV GO at 5pm on April 3rd.
