Roy Hodgson has revealed his England squad for the national side’s upcoming friendlies against Germany and Netherlands, with the big news being that Leicester City’s Danny Drinkwater has been added to the line-up.

The friendlies will be an opportunity for Hodgson to decide who he will take to France for the upcoming Euro 2016 tournament, with it marking Drinkwater’s first appearance for the senior squad. The 26-year-old has played a big role in Leicester’s success this Premier League season, with him joining teammate Jamie Vardy in the national squad.

Vardy is one of five strikers picked by Hodgson to represent his country in the two friendlies, with the manager seemingly looking to test out a variety of attacking combinations as England veteran Wayne Rooney continues to sit on the sidelines with an injury.
