At the Brit Awards this weekend, Diplo announced that he will be collaborating with Justin Bieber on a new song, which they said will likely be released this summer.
“We actually have a crazy track that we never put out with him, like a rap song,” said Diplo during a recent interview (Billboard). “He’s busy; he’s got to promote his album for a long time. It’s hard with an artist that big. Luckily we got [Jack Ü track] ‘Where Are Ü Now?’ out right before his thing started, but after that happens you want these artists to give you full attention. I think he’s going to be busy for a while doing ‘Purpose’, which is a sick album” (NME).
Bieber released the album Purpose in November of last year and is about to leave on his Purpose Tour in support of the album. Meanwhile, Diplo, who has won three Grammys, put out his compilative album Random White Dude Be Everywhere last July.
