Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes signed a big fat contract after helping his team reach the World Series last October. About $75 million worth of contract.
The Cuban-born star had a brilliant second half with his new team, slamming 17 home runs while batting .287 in just 57 games. So you really wouldn’t think the 30-year-old has anything to overcompensate for.
But, of course, the power-hitter has decided to show up in a different, ridiculous, uber-slick car to Spring Training every day this week.
According to the Wall Street Journal, this Cespedes’s “comic-book ride” includes about $40 grand worth of custom body work.
Terry Collins says Cespedes “loves to be a star.” Well, he sure drives like one. https://t.co/hAafGTCPw0 pic.twitter.com/xhq9hpXLsj

Cespedes actually has two Polaris Slingshots. The other is blue and had $44,000 of custom work done on it.

After Cespedes had got attention from that fancy tricycle, he decided to have his Lambo Aventador overnighted to camp, ya know, to show that off as well …
