Things are heating up on the mountains in the latest episode of WGN America’s original series, Outsiders. Last week, the coal company disregarded the warnings of the Farrell clan and began cutting down trees. In response, Big Foster (David Morse) sabotaged their equipment and sent his son, Little Foster (Ryan Hurst) to commit a murder.
The recently returned Asa (Joe Anderson) went into town to defuse down the situation, but his speech only angered the townspeople who already hate the Farrells; Asa probably won’t win many fans on the mountain when it eventually comes out that he slept with G’Winn (Gillian Alexy) shortly before her husband, Little Foster came home.
WGN America has provided CraveOnline with an exclusive preview scene from this week’s episode of Outsiders, as the coal company’s Haylie Grimes (Francie Swift) pressures Sheriff Houghton (Thomas M. Wright) to take action against the Farrells. What she doesn’t know is that Houghton is trying to protect the Farrells, even though his best efforts are quickly unraveling.
Here’s the description for this week’s Outsiders episode which suggests that a major power shakeup has arrived:
“Asa realizes the coal company is spying on them using a drone and warns Big Foster to stop destroying and stealing the coal company’s equipment. Big Foster notices how close Asa and G’Win are getting and shares his suspicions with Lil Foster. Asa goes to town to fix the drone and meets with Ledda, using her laptop to gather insight on the coal company executives. Lady Ray’s fate is revealed. Weineke orders Houghton and Fults to go up the mountain. And all at once, we have a new Sheriff and a new Brenin.”
Outsiders airs Tuesday nights at 9pm on WGN America.
