It’s time to go up the mountain with Outsiders, the newest original series from WGN America. Within the world of the series, the Farrell, Shay, and McGintuk families have made their home in Shay Mountain for over 200 years, and they’ve largely cut themselves off from the outside world.
Now, the modern world is threatening the very way of life that the mountain clans have held for two centuries. Complicating matters is the return of Asa (Joe Anderson) after so many years living among the “losties” beyond the mountain. More than anyone, Asa knows that the Farrells won’t be able to win a war if someone finally comes for their land. Asa’s not exactly the most popular guy among his own people, which means that his warnings have fallen on deaf ears.
In CraveOnline’s exclusive preview scene from the third episode of Outsiders, Asa shares a dance with Gwinveer (Gillian Alexy) before the assembled families race to see the coal company breaking ground. And if Big Foster (David Morse) has his way, the shooting is about to start.
Here’s WGN America’s description for the episode:
“The coal company breaks ground on the road leading up to the mountain, sending Big Foster on a warpath. At the town meeting, Haylie, Ledda, and Breece plead their cases and Asa takes the podium to warn the town to not come up the mountain. Meanwhile, Lil Foster tries to get back into Big Foster’s good graces and seeks revenge on the man who killed Elon. Plus, Hasil’s date with Sally-Ann goes awry.”
Outsiders airs Tuesday nights at 9pm on WGN America.
