Stuck in Queues in Blade and Soul? NCSoft is Introducing New Servers

With Blade and Soul having proven to be more popular than developer NCSoft had expected, the game’s servers have reached maximum capacity, forcing many users to face lengthy wait times as they’re stuck in queues in order to access its servers. However, the developer has revealed that it is actively working to get more servers online within the next two days in order to combat this issue.

In a post on the game’s official forums, an NCSoft representative wrote: “We’ve been working to open new servers as quickly as possible, and the servers are expected to be available in the next 48 hours. For those of you who have yet to start playing, or those of you who wouldn’t mind starting over, it can be expected that wait times on them may be a bit shorter. We’ll have more details on server names and the downtime schedule as soon as possible.”

The post also revealed that NCSoft has deployed a hotfix that “will include the much-requested auto-kick feature for players who have been inactive,” along with “addressing the queue time text that was not displaying correctly.”

Though it’s inevitably frustrating to be stuck waiting in a lengthy queue just to be able to play the game, NCSoft has stated that it has already pushed its servers to their maximum capacity, and it seems that they are working hard in order to rectify this issue. While premium members are afforded the opportunity to jump to the front of the queue, many will not want to pay a subscription fee in order to reduce wait times, and it’s good to see NCSoft actively implementing changes in order to make the game more enjoyable for those who want to experience it without having to sign up for a membership.
