When Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer announced that The Venture Bros. Seasons 5 and 6 would be eight episodes each, it was supposed to mean that they could produce the show faster than before. But it’s been two and a half years since The Venture Bros. Season 5 wrapped up! That is not fast!
But our long Venture Bros. drought is almost at an end. According to AV Club, The Venture Bros. Season 6 will premiere on Sunday, January 31 at midnight.
The setup for the sixth season was teased in “All This and Gargantua-2,” the one-hour Venture Bros. special that aired last January. In that episode, Jonas Venture Jr. died, leaving his hapless brother, Rusty Venture in the unusual position of being a very rich man. The previously released trailer for season 6 gave fans a hint about the changes that will ensue, as new and bizarre characters enter the series…including a Captain America spoof who looks like he’s wearing Wonder Woman’s panties.
Adult Swim had its own description for the sixth season, as if it was an apartment for rent in New York.
