Afraid Of Shark Attacks? Shark Repellent Tech Is Here

While shark attacks are incredibly rare, there is a new product that will put your mind at ease.

For all the scuba divers, surfers, snorkelers and all other ocean-swimmers — along with their mothers — Sharkbanz is a wearable that has proven to deter sharks and will therefore likely keep more people safe from attacks. And there are no chemicals, batteries or electricity involved.

While it doesn’t give a 100 percent guarantee in preventing all shark attacks, the product was developed by a chemist and marine biologist and uses a very powerful magnet to disrupt the shark’s electrical sensors. It’s pretty neat.
