Coheed and Cambria frontman Claudio Sanchez has shared an acoustic cover of Adele‘s megahit “Hello,” for better or worse.
Yeah, for worse.
Sanchez, who sings more like a mid-nineties R&B crooner mixed with a drunk falsetto-obsessed Jack Black than a hugely accomplished rock star, was apparently inspired to record the track by his mother. At least it looks like he’s having fun.
In his own words: “For my mother, who told me the new Coheed record is just as good, if not better, than the new Adele. 🙂 Honestly, what else is a mother supposed to say to her son. I love you, mom.” – Claudio
He’s a great musician, but this is… uh..
Coheed and Cambria’s new album The Color Before The Sun is available NOW at their official online store, iTunes and at a special discount on Google Play. There are no Adele covers on the record.
