This melting pot features a heavy Caribbean influence and flavors of nearby island nations such as Cuba, Haiti, and the Dominican. In short, it’s got a little something for everyone, and you’re sure to find a meal that you can brag about later.

In an area known for its Cuban food, Osteria Vecchio Piemonte breaks the mold and offers up some of the most delightful cuisine in all of Miami. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting with friendly servers and a small, but delicious menu featuring items like lobster tortellini, pumpkin ravioli, and tiramisu for dessert.
La Patagonia Argentina

Parking can be a bit tricky here, but if you park in the back you can always go in through the back door. The La Patagonia Argentina menu is creative, and offers up Argentine favorites such as mojo de life, and churrasco as well as traditional menu faire such as steaks and some of the most delicious ravioli I’ve ever ordered. As a bonus, all food is 50% off after 5pm Monday thru Friday and all day on weekends. Odd, but worth a mention.
Jaguar Ceviche Spoon Bar

Jaguar Ceviche Spoon Bar offers traditional ceviche that you’d find throughout most of latin America. For the uninitiated, ceviche is seafood that is “cooked” without heat through a chemical reaction with citrus acid (often from lime). That said, the ceviche platter is to die for. If you’re looking for something equally exciting try the mahi-mahi mango verde, which is delicious grilled fish served with a mango salsa. If you’re in the mood, wash it all down with one of their excellent mojitos.
Neighborhood Bistro

This little French spot Neighborhood Bistro proves that Miami does really have something for everyone. The menu changes daily, so be sure to stop in more than once to sample the fresh and seasonal offerings. For those looking for a deal, the lunch specials are where it’s at. These same meals are nearly double the price when served for dinner.
Niu Kitchen

Zuma

Zuma is probably the most upscale place on this list. It’s a bit on the expensive side (actually, it’s a lot on the expensive side), but if your wallet can handle it the food and drinks are excellent. Sushi, seared swordfish, or that perfect medium rare steak cooked to perfection are all available at Zuma.
Kush

Kush is another American-style gastropub featuring traditional favorites like burgers, fries and even local favorites like alligator bite appetizers. The Frita Burger is a particular favorite amongst patrons and features potato sticks, and a guava jelly that perfectly balances the sweet and salty spectrum of a perfectly cooked burger.
Prohibition Restaurant and Speakeasy

Miami residents rave about Prohibition Restaurant and Speakeasy. Once inside, you’ll instantly be transported to a sort of film-noir setting that features some of the best service in all of Miami. The food itself is tapas style dining, meaning small plates and a lot of new flavors to try. The drinks are cold, the wine list is great, and I can’t say enough about the food. Try the truffle pasta and the shrimp ceviche!
