Man buns are still in abundance, and they aren’t going anywhere now that a fake one can be securely clipped to your head for around USD$10.
The team over at Groupon are, for some reason, selling “clip in” man buns which they claim are worth a whopping USD$65. The fake buns come in three colours — black, blonde and brown — and are made of hair cut from the scalps of randoms at music festivals good ol’ synthetic hair.
Groupon say their clip-on man bun “lets you blend in with your surroundings”, which makes it sound like a magical invisibility man bun someone smuggled out of Hogwarts.
Groupon suggests you should put your fake man bun on “when you smell fair-trade coffee or hear a banjo”, but then make sure to take it off “when someone utters the word ‘bro'”.
In another strange move, the company has also made a weird promotional video for their buns, in which they call the product “stylishly shaggy” and offer up this suggestion of what to do when you’ve got one on:
“You could walk around all day convincing everyone you have the same hair and talent as the sexiest men alive.”
Watch a male model magically blend into his surroundings by becoming the sexiest fake-man-bun-wearing bloke alive, below, and consider the “clip in” man bun for your next dress-up party.
