Wollongong’s one and only punk, rock and metal festival, HY-FEST, has announced its return with a 19-act lineup, including homegrown noisemakers like The Meanies, Hard-Ons, Captain Cleanoff and Dead.
Other acts featured on the 2015 HY-FEST lineup include The Pink Fits, Canine and, of course, the event’s traditional hosts HY-TEST. Catch the full lineup, below.
The brainchild of HY-TEST’s Luke Armstrong, HY-FEST began in 2011 and is promising to go bigger and better this December by partnering with Wollongong music promoters Yours & Owls.
“We really wanted to bring some of these out-of-towners to Wollongong to destroy audiences, but the festival is also a chance to celebrate what’s happening in our own backyard,” Armstrong says.
“There’s so much going on in hard music both locally and at a national level and this is a perfect way to showcase that.”
