Ronda Rousey Becomes First MMA Fighter To Land Cover Of ‘Ring’ Magazine

We all know Ronda Rousey has dominated the MMA world unlike anything we’ve seen in recent professional sports. It should be to no surprise she’s been chosen to be the first MMA fighter to be put on the cover of “the bible of boxing.”

In fact, Ring Magazine debuted in 1922 and since that time only one female has been put on the cover, Cathy Davis in 1978.

Many boxing purists are up in arms over the issue, upset a mixed-martial arts fighter is on the cover of the pinnacle boxing magazine. Take a gander at the Instagram post’s page just to look at some of the comments. It’s true trolling battle.

The UFC bantamweight champion’s January 2016 cover will be released in November, just one day after her UFC 193 bout with Holly Holm, who is a two-time Ring Magazine female boxer of the year.
