At New York Comic Con’s Star Wars Rebels panel, Lucasfilm released a new full-length trailer for the upcoming second season on Disney XD.
Following up on the events of “The Siege of Lothal,” Darth Vader knows that his former apprentice, Ahoska is still alive…and he’s dispatched two Imperial Inquisitors to find her. One of the new Inquisitors is the Seventh Sister, the new villainess voiced by former Buffy The Vampire star, Sarah Michelle Gellar!
The new season 2 trailer shows off the new Inquisitors while building to a confrontation with Ahsoka over the fate of the Force sensitive children. In the trailer, Ezra also outs himself as a Jedi in front of Hondo, a returning character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars who offers to make Ezra a “pirate Jedi!
Sabine also encounters a female Mandalorian warrior who seems to have a family connection to her. The new Mandalorian also seems to be opposed to Sabine and the rebels.
Lucasfilm also released a short scene in which Ezra encounters the Seventh Sister for the first time…and finds himself completely outmatched!
The new episodes of Star Wars Rebels Season 2 will begin on Wednesday, October 14 on Disney XD.
