Portland’s finest imports Portugal. The Man took an inspirational cue this week from Ryan Adams covering Taylor Swift’s new album this week, a rendition which was then covered by Father John Misty, which was then covered by others… the musical inception is almost too much to get our heads around. But PTM took on Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreak hit “Amazing” this morning:

We saw that Ryan Adams covered Taylor Swift’s 1989 so we decided to go ahead and cover something good. Kanye is playing 808s & Heartbreak at Hollywood Bowl tonight, if we were not in Marfa playing El Cosmico – Trans-Pescos Festival we would be there, one of our all time favorite records. Here is…”Amazing”

This shit is weird, it’s deliciously auto-tuned silliness and the perfect bit of oddity for a Friday. Can’t wait to hear a new record from these villainously excellent sonic sex fiends.
