This Aussie Grandad Has Set A World Record, After Getting 203 Simpsons Characters Tattooed On Himself

One Aussie grandad has taken his love of The Simpsons to its logical conclusion, by getting the entire population of Springfield tattooed upon his person.

His efforts have also been embiggened by the record book-writers over at Guinness.

After splashing out a tidy AU$12,000 on Simpsons-themed ink, 52-year-old Michael Baxter is officially the Guinness World Record holder for the most number of tattoos from a single animated series.

The Gummy Venus De Milo of back-tatts took a total of 130 hours to complete over the space of a year.

“I wanted to get something which was unique, which nobody else had or would even think of getting,” Baxter explained (via NME). “I’m a huge fan of the show. I love the tattoo, and I know lots of other people including my grandchildren do too.”

To ensure his record could be verified, Grandpa Baxter also had to provide exact details of the episode, or episodes, where each character on his back appeared.

And they’re all here – Comic Book Guy, Sideshow Bob, Smithers – all in their original packaging!
