Scott Glenn Returns For Daredevil Season 2

Scott Glenn’s appearance in Daredevil Season 1 was one of the highlights of Marvel’s first live-action series on Netflix. But Stick’s storyline left a major plotline unexplored about a pending war and the role that Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) would play in it.

That story will be revisited in Daredevil Season 2, as Marvel has confirmed that Glenn will reprise his role as Stick in three episodes as he recruits Matt for a new mission…whether he wants it or not!

“After seeing Scott’s performance in the first season, we knew that we had to bring him back for more,” explained Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of TV and an executive producer on Daredevil. “He is an extraordinary actor and we leapt at the chance to expand on his adventures with Matt and Daredevil.”

Glenn’s previous projects include Urban Cowboy, The Right Stuff, Silverado, The Hunt for Red October, The Silence of the Lambs, Training Day, The Bourne Ultimatum, Sucker Punch, and a memorable recurring turn on The Leftovers Season 1.

Stick was created by Frank Miller during his first run on the Daredevil comic book series. Like Matt Murdock, Stick is blind, but his remaining senses are acutely sharp and he is a deadly martial artist. Terence Stamp previously played Stick in the Elektra movie.

Speaking of Elektra, her connection to Stick may also be explored this season considering that the show is introducing Elodie Yung as Elektra Natchios. Jon Bernthal is also joining the cast as Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher alongside returning cast members Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Rosario Dawson.

Daredevil Season 2 is currently in production and it will premiere on Netflix in 2016.
