Dom and Adrian AKA Bondi Hipsters have moved into the world of club bangers momentarily throwing a few verses over Timmy Trumpet and Chardy’s ‘Hipsta’ and crafting a satirical video to go with it.
As per usual, they’re out to parody the everyday hipster and this track follows an average Saturday for a hipster from brunch to a lame club that they begin to love after a few disco biscuits.
The track features classic lines like “do you have anything gluten free?” and “should I cleanse my liver with a ginger tea?” while in the video, they manage to disgruntle everybody from the cafe waiter to the DJ and end getting their faces slapped around. That doesn’t stop them from chatting about the time they saw a DJ at an underground rave in a storm water drain or the time the DJ was spinning tunes in a freezer at a 7/11.
They manage to fall asleep in the club and are woken up by the harsh reality of light looking a little worse for wear.
“This is less of a traditional music release and more of a performance art piece. It was the only way we could express ourselves artistically within the context of the modern capitalist media, through one of the Illuminati-controlled record labels,” Adrian explained of the video.
“Selling a million copies will or won’t be part of our artistic exploration, depending on the outcome of this track, but we’re hoping to explore what our lives would be like if we were millionaires…for the sake of art,” added Dom.
