Vin Diesel, a well-dressed, genial, strong, awesome, and suave motherfucker, is pursuing yet another franchise. Diesel is best known, of course, for his involvement in the ultra-successful Fast & Furious film series, and has been, under his own locomotion, been actively pursuing other franchises to fit his talents. His Riddick series is not as successful as Furious, but certainly has its followers, and certain fans of his 2002 film XXX have been asking when he might reprise his role as Xander Cage, an extreme sports enthusiast who is recruited to be a spy. Fans were warm to the 2005 sequel XXX: State of the Union, which starred Ice Cube in the lead role.

According to our friends over at ComingSoon, Diesel – who has been promising a sequel for some time – will begin shooting XXX: The Return of Xander Cage this December, as confirmed in an Instagram message that read “While I was filming XXX, guys on set called me Air Diesel… The time to return has come. Filming starts December in the Philippines. #ILiveForThisShit.” The message was accompanied by the classiest picture Diesel has ever posed for.
There is no director attached as yet, but screenwriters Michael Ferris and John Brancato, who penned Terminator: Genisys, have written a draft.
