Misha Collins has been a fan-favorite since making his first appearance as the angel Castiel in the fourth season of Supernatural. But at this weekend’s Supernatural convention in Minneapolis, fans were shocked when Collins abruptly canceled his panel appearances.
Entertainment Tonight and several other outlets are reporting that Collins was mugged. According to Hollywood Take, a now deleted Facebook post from Collins’ former Supernatural co-star, Jim Beaver stated that three men followed Collins outside of a restaurant and assaulted him before stealing his belongings.
Collins has not publicly confirmed any of the reports of how he was injured, but he did post the following message for his fans on twitter.
Hey guys! Thanks for all the well-wishes! Just want u to know I’ve just got some minor scrapes. I’m totally fine! Love u guys.

And even though his panel appearances were canceled, Collins did return to the Supernatural convention to pose for photos with fans and sign autographs.
Another former Supernatural co-star, Osric Chau encouraged fans to support Collins’ charity as a way to demonstrate their support.
