The mad man with a box is back next month on BBC and BBC America for the ninth season of Doctor Who! Earlier today, a new trailer was released that featured Peter Capaldi as the Doctor and Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswald for their second full season together. And this time, the Doctor and Clara are back on the same page.
Composer Murray Gold really outdoes himself with the reworked Doctor Who themes in this trailer, which also shows more of Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) and her enigmatic character, as well as Zygons, Daleks, and the return of Michelle Gomez as Missy!
This season will bring the Doctor and Clara to new alien worlds, a Viking village, an underwater base, and even the end of time! Along the way, they will have to contend with new enemies, ghosts, and the deadly mercenaries called the Mire.
Reece Shearsmith, Rebecca Front, Rufus Hound, Paul Kaye, Elaine Tan, Neet Mohan, Bethany Black, Paul Courtenay Hyu, Joivan Wade, and Sophie Stone will all make guest appearances on Doctor Who this season as well.
Doctor Who Season 9 will premiere on Saturday, September 19.
