UK folk queen Laura Marling has today announced that she is heading back to Australia towards the end of the year with her full band, for a string of shows to support her recently released album Short Movie.
Arriving down under in October and presented by Music Feeds, Marling will play gigs in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane. The young singer song-writer was last in the country for Splendour in the Grass and a handful of sold-out sideshows in 2013, so demand for this new tour is sure to be high.
Short Movie, her fifth studio album (no small feat considering she is only 25-years-old), was released in March this year and saw Marling reinvent herself with our reviewer calling the album “meticulously arranged and carefully sculpted, every note serving its purpose and every layer building to something far greater than the sum of its parts.”
