Aussie rockers Cold Chisel have announced their One Night Stand tour of Australia, which will kick off with a mini-concert performance at the NRL Grand Final on Sunday, 4th October. The tour will take the band through to late December, and is promising to including a number of “firsts” for the band.
Cold Chisel’s One Night Stand tour will be ‘one night only’ in each city, except Sydney, where the tour concludes with two already sold-out shows to close the city’s Qantas Credit Union Arena. Fellow Aussie rockers The Living End will be supporting the band at their Decades Festival, Hope Estate and Hanging Rock shows.
In a statement, Cold Chisel frontman Jimmy Barnes says the overwhelming demand for a Cold Chisel tour has been exciting to witness. “In March we played a homecoming show in Adelaide to 35,000 people,” Barnes says. “Then when we announced these two shows in Sydney the reaction was ballistic. The demand blew our minds, suggesting that it was time for us to get back out there.”
Barnes’ bandmate, Ian Moss, says the band are keen to get back out on the road for a lengthy national tour.
“We love playing together. We’ve come to realise that there’s a certain magic and chemistry in Cold Chisel that we don’t get anywhere else and it makes a special connection with Australian audiences,” he says. “We can’t wait to make that connection on our One Night Stand tour. See you there!”

Members of the Cold Chisel mailing list will get exclusive first access to tickets between 10am and 10pm local time on Monday, 1st June. A My Ticketek pre-sale will be held between 10am and 10pm on Tuesday, 2nd June, before tickets go on sale to the general public at midday local time Wednesday, 3rd June.
