Last year, LMFAO member Redfoo was glassed at a Sydney hotel. Today, his 21-year-old attacker escaped a jail sentence, and has been put on a good behaviour bond.
As Pedestrian reports, Redfoo’s attacker, Arian Berisha, has been given a two-year good behaviour bond at a sentencing hearing at the Downing Centre Local Court. Berisha pleaded guilty to the assault of Redfoo — real name Stefan Gordy — in March, but has not had a conviction recorded.
The presiding magistrate in Berisha’s case, John Favretto, accepted the defence’s argument that the glassing was a prank gone wrong, and that a drunk Berisha hesitated before carrying it out. Favretto also reportedly wondered what a Redfoo is, according to a tweet by Nine News reporter Leila McKinnon (below).
As Music Feeds reported, Gordy was struck by a glass as he left the VIP section of Double Bay’s The Golden Sheaf Hotel in late August, 2014. At the time, police said the attack was unprovoked, and Gordy was left with a small cut on his face which was treated by paramedics.
In September that year, Berisha pleaded not guilty on counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and reckless wounding. Berisha’s plea was later amended to guilty of assault.
Magistrate also wondered who @redfoo was.
