Inaugural Maroochy Music & Visual Arts Festival Lineup Announced

A new Australian festival is set to make its way to Queensland’s Sunshine Coast this August, backed by a killer inaugural lineup featuring the likes of Hermitude, Brisbane duo DZ Deathrays, indie-rockers Alpine, Sydney band Gang Of Youths and producer The Kite String Tangle.

The Maroochy Music And Visual Arts Festival will play host to other acts including Hiatus Kaiyote, Harts and One Day, and has already locked in a secret headliner who is reportedly no stranger to big-name music festivals.

All artists will perform on the same stage, so there will be no annoying clashes. There will also be couches — we repeat, couches — in the festival’s natural amphitheatre.

On the visual art side of things, the Maroochy Music And Visual Arts Festival will see pieces from artists like Amanda Parer — who is bringing the giant inflatable bunnies she’s previously displayed at Vivid Sydney — as well as art from the likes of Bertie Blackman and Conrad Square.

The 2015 Maroochy Music And Visual Arts Festival will take place at Horton Park Golf Course on 22nd August. View the event’s full lineup alongside ticket details, below.
