Nickelback Wanted By Queensland Police For “Impersonating Musicians”

The Queensland Police Service have joined in on the internet’s love-to-hate relationship with Canadian band Nickelback by issuing a BOLO alert — that’s a Be On Lookout alert — for the band, who are “believed to be impersonating musicians around Boondall this evening”.

In a light-hearted post to their official Facebook page (below), Queensland Police have shared some police sketches of the suspects, and warned people to avoid the Boondall area north of Brisbane. “It may be hazardous to your hearing and street cred,” Queensland Police say.

Having recently beaten bands like Foo Fighters and Linkin Park in a “lyric intelligence” study, Nickelback might just have enough rock and roll confidence to evade police. One thing’s for sure, though — Nickelback will likely to be hard to find, given they have No Fixed Address.

Actually, the Australian leg of Nickelback’s No Fixed Address Tour continues in Brisbane tonight, before the band perform in Sydney, Newcastle and Perth. So maybe we should just be on the lookout for a beefed-up police presence at their show this evening.
