Eagles head coach Chip Kelly continues to make waves this off-season, now reportedly bringing on polarizing quarterback Tim Tebow.
It’s been about two years since we’ve seen the former Heisman Trophy winner in a uniform. After a short but arguably successful stint with the Broncos, he had even shorter tenures with the Jets and Patriots. Now he’ll have the chance to play backup for the Eagles.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that the Eagles are planning to bring in Tebow on Monday and sign him to a one-year deal as they begin their offseason program. FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer first reported the news.
There is plenty of argument whether or not Tebow will even make the opening roster. He joins a team that already has Sam Bradford, March Sanchez, Matt Barkley and some guy named G.J. Kinne. Rumors are already swirling that Kelly would like also draft Oregon star Marcus Mariota as well.
Tebow has been working on his craft all off-season. This summer will tell us if all that hard work will pay off or not.
