Exclusive Video: Nothing More Set Their Sights on Mental Health with #iknowJenny Campaign

Nobody likes to talk about it. Nobody likes to admit the difficulties involved. But mental health is a universally widespread issue that pharmaceuticals alone cannot remedy. As a society, we are charged and challenged with the responsibility to provide support and security to our loved ones struggling with mental health issues. And when the time comes to draw attention to such a sensitive and polarizing topic, few public figures will step forth with their own stories to further the cause.

Nothing More are taking that step, teaming with To Write Love On Her Arms, Bring Change 2 Mind, International Bipolar Foundation, The Jed Foundation and Young Minds (UK) to spread the facts about mental health to music fans worldwide. In a Crave-exclusive video, Nothing More singer Jonny Hawkins shares a tale of his sister’s struggle with Bipolar Disorder, a struggle featured in the band’s song “Jenny,” with accompanying video directed by Hawkins. In this behind-the-scenes clip, Jonny candidly explains the ongoing difficulties families and friends face when caring for those afflicted with mental health issues, using his own family’s experiences as a canvas for living-proof examples. With 350 million people suffering from depression and other mental health afflictions worldwide, the problem hits home for every one of us. Check out the #iknowJenny video below, exclusively on Crave:

Funds are being raised for the charities via a new PledgeMusic campaign. Keep up with the #iknowJenny movement at Nothing More’s official site. If you don’t have a few bucks to spare, even starting a conversation makes a difference.
